Formerly known as the Country Club of the Poconos Municipal Golf Course, The Poconos Club entered a new chapter of private ownership on August 27, 2024. Since then, we’ve been hard at work building the foundation for a long-term transformation—honoring the legacy of the course while introducing a revitalized vision for the future.

Designed by renowned architect Jim Fazio, our 18-hole layout is a true showcase of mountain golf. The course blends strategic play with the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains, featuring dramatic elevation changes, mature woodlands, and tranquil water features. Each hole delivers a distinct experience, offering both challenge and reward for golfers of all levels.

As of April 18, 2025, The Poconos Club is officially open for the season. The course is fully operational and ready for play. While the course is a constant work in progress, we’ve made significant progress enhancing the course and guest experience, with more improvements underway. We appreciate the community’s continued support and patience as we bring this new vision to life.

Course Overview

Set in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, The Poconos Club offers a scenic and thoughtfully designed 18-hole course that caters to all levels of play. With its rolling terrain, natural water features, and elevated tee boxes, the course provides a peaceful yet engaging experience.

Due to the distance between several holes, golf carts are required for all players. This allows for a smooth pace of play and the ability to take in the full beauty of the property during your round.

Whether you’re a longtime local or a first-time guest, The Poconos Club invites you to enjoy a round in one of the region’s most tranquil mountain settings.

Course Rules & Etiquette

To ensure a great experience for all players, we kindly ask that you follow these guidelines:

Tee Times: Please check in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
Carts: Carts are required for all players due to course layout. Please follow all cart path signage and keep carts away from greens and tee boxes.
Pace of Play: Be mindful of groups behind you. Allow faster players to play through if there is space ahead.
Course Care: Replace divots, repair ball marks, and rake bunkers after use.
Courtesy: Maintain a respectful noise level and refrain from inappropriate language or behavior.

Dress Code

To maintain a refined and enjoyable atmosphere, The Poconos Club observes a golf-specific dress code:

Men: Collared shirts with sleeves. Slacks or tailored shorts are acceptable.
Women: Golf-appropriate tops, slacks, skirts, or shorts of appropriate length.
Not Permitted: Denim, tank tops, gym wear, cut-offs, swimwear, or clothing with offensive graphics.
Footwear: Soft-spike golf shoes are required. No metal spikes or sandals permitted.

Events & Outings

Looking for a beautiful, no-fuss setting for your next gathering? While we’re still in the early stages of transforming our clubhouse, the space is currently available for private events, meetings, golf outings, and small celebrations on a DIY basis.

This means we provide the space — you bring the vision. At this time, we do not have on-site event coordinators or full-service offerings, but the scenery and setting speak for themselves.
